Camera Tweaks

I like to fiddle with stuff.

I like to experiment with seldom used (I get told that they are useless or silly - oh, well...) features on whatever kit I am dealing with at the time. Ask my kids, they'll roll their eyes. They've heard "wait, just one more shot, hang on, I'm setting up the camera, now smile and don't look fake or silly!" one too many times...

On this trip, we went to Inverell to visit our friends and we were blessed to have them open their home to us and have us stay there.

I decided to get up at stupid o'clock for some reason... the sun hadn't come up yet, and it was dark and FREEZING!

I set the camera for a 5 second shutter time and sat the camera on a fence post to see what I would get.

As you can see, the picture is in sharp focus but quite surreal. The lighting brings out some unusual tones in the flora.

I like it because it captures the pre-dawn still before the bustle of the day, cryogenically frozen for what could be a moment or an eternity...

...followed by "Are you crazy! It's freezing out here! Why are you out here in your shorts?"

Ooops...
